What Happens In Vegas….

A slogan that has done little to tarnish the “Sin City” image that Vegas has been trying to shirk, makes its appearance in a more true form in Moira Mc Tark’s “Nothing Stays in Vegas

Let me give you a little teaser-

Will one night in Sin City equal a lifetime of regret?

On his way to be best man at his friend’s wedding, Caleb Daniels has high hopes that his run of bad relationships has come to an end. He can’t wait to lay eyes—and hands—on the funny and intelligent maid of honor. They’ve never met, but she’s been charming him for weeks over the internet.

At first Lara Sinclair’s cyberspace chats with Cal centered around the preparations for her sister’s extravagant wedding, but it quickly blossomed into an intense online affair. Now she’s more than ready to meet him face to face, and have his fingers stroke more than just the keyboard.

But before she can even say hello to the sexy groomsman, her trouble-come-hither, look-alike sister bursts her bubble with a bona-fide, happily-every-after emergency. And Lara finds herself faced with a heartbreaking choice.

Let her sister solve her own problems, or risk her budding relationship with Cal to help save the wedding—by pretending to be someone she’s not.

Now that’s out of the way, let me say a simple whew! From the first page, this book grabs hold and says don’t put me down or you just might miss something HAWT! That’s right, I said it. The relationship between Cal and Lara had you rooting for them from the onset. Then her sister walks onto the page and you absolutely loathe her, but can feel the pull of sisterly bond Lara feels bound by.  Moira takes you along on this emotional rollercoaster, pulling you in with characters that make you love them, hate them for their stupidity, and then love them all over again. The sex and tension in this book is definitely worth getting hot and bothered over, it’s a sure bet in my opinion!

Happy Reading!

Forget Platonic…Get Friendly

Getting Friendly by Moira McTark

Let’s be honest now—we’ve all had a friend, maybe more, whom we’ve thought of in more than platonic ways.  Sometimes it’s just a simple, fleeting “Hmm, I wonder what if…” kind of thought and other times it’s a bedroom door locked, extra batteries on hand, full-fledged “Oh, oh, ooooh!” fantasy.

Nichole Drake has burned out more than her fair share of battery-operated devices fantasizing about her best friend and roommate, Matt Reeves.  Problem is, Matt doesn’t have a clue what’s going on in the bedroom next door—he’s too busy trying to keep his mind off of his sexy roommate with temporary, leggy, blonde playthings.  Not only is Nichole bad news in that she’s his best friend’s little sister, she’s also the most commitment-phobic person he knows—letting his libido get the best of him would certainly end in disaster.

But, caught in a last minute bind that has the potential to ruin Nichole’s career, dependable Matt comes to the rescue.  Only Nichole’s not quite prepared for just how ready he is to help out…and, quite frankly, neither is Matt.

Moira McTark has, once again, taken a classic, all-too-real life scenario and worked her steamy magic on it.  Getting Friendly is a hot and sexy, yet heartwarming and sweet story of friendship, love, sex, and the struggle to have it all.  I was laughing and snorting almost immediately, wiggling in my seat and holding my breath in the middle, and then sniffling and reaching for the Kleenex at the end.  And there’s nothing I love more than to be emotionally engaged on all levels by a story.  Of course, the body oil and the god of love in skimpy undies probably had something to do with why I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the screen, too. ;)
